Healthcare Coverage in the Ever Changing/Non Changing Market

Healthcare and healthcare coverage headline in the news day after day. It has become one of the most politically charged topics in recent years. There is more pressure than ever for employers to offer coverage, and for individuals to maintain coverage. With the rising cost of healthcare, the passing of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and ongoing implementation of parts of the law, as well as constant political bantering about changes, it’s a lot to keep track of. We will untangle some of the confusion, discussing the ongoing politics and legislation on both a state and federal level, where the industry is likely going, and ways to solve some of the problems that employers and individuals may be facing.

Becki Jennings is the owner of Jennings Insurance Group in Osage Beach. The agency opened in June 2011. Becki initially focused on Medicare Health Insurance, but eventually expanded to all aspects of health and life insurance to meet the growing needs of both individuals and employers. Becki has grown a successful business by continually educating herself and her staff on the ever changing insurance industry and carrying that forward to clients. Becki is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters, where she is the membership chair for the State of Missouri. NAHU is the largest association for health insurance brokers, and remains on the front lines, lobbying in Washington for brokers and their clients, as well as educating brokers and agents. Becki’s success is largely due to her community involvement, and she is an active member of the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.
